Art Walks

Berby Krägefsky has been working as an art educator since 2008 for clients such as the Städel Museum, Deutsche Bank, the DZ Bank Art Foundation, the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation, SCHIRN KUNSTHALLE, and the Giersch Museum at Goethe University. She studied art history and medieval and modern history at Goethe University Frankfurt.

Kerstin Herd is a trained art educator and event manager and worked for over ten years as an organizer of VOLTA, the international contemporary art fair, in Basel and New York. She was also part of the team of independent art educators at the SCHIRN Kunsthalle Frankfurt for the Exhibitions Marc Chagall and Niki de Saint Phalle.

Tamara Dzyubiy first discovered her passion for art as a hobby by visiting Exhibitions. She later studied art history for several years and gained valuable experience as a guide at international art weeks, such as Amsterdam Art Week. She regularly attends major art events around the world, including Art Basel, Documenta, and the Biennale.

She is a freelance art historian and works, among other things, as an editor and art educator for institutions such as the Giersch Museum at Goethe University, the Blickachsen Foundation, AtelierFrankfurt, the Kuratorium Kulturelles Frankfurt, and various galleries. She studied art history in Frankfurt and Malta.

Hanneke Heinemann studied art history, Italian literature, and modern German literature in Marburg and Venice. Even while she was a student, she organized art tours, including some by bike. She has lived in Frankfurt since 1997 and works at several art and cultural institutions. She is familiar with Frankfurt’s gallery scene, in part due to her many years of work for the Frankfurt Galleries Association and her involvement with individual galleries.

Thomas Sterna lives and works in Merano (Italy), Frankfurt am Main, and Aschaffenburg. He studied German language and literature and philosophy at Goethe University Frankfurt, as well as fine arts at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, where he became a master student of Prof. A. Nierhoff in 1994. Since 1994, Sterna has been exhibiting internationally, focusing on performance, video, and installation. He also engages with contemporary art theory and the conditions of autonomous artistic production.

Valentina Knežević has been working as an art educator at several museums in Frankfurt since 2018. She has also worked at several galleries and enjoys telling us about the inner workings of a gallery, the art world, and the art market.

Ulrike Markus studied sculpture and art history at the HfG Offenbach and the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. Since 2018, she has been carrying out art projects for children, teenagers, and adults in the sociocultural sector. She works in arts education at several museums in Frankfurt and is also an advocate for gender equality for female artists.
