Markus Weisbeck
Markus Weisbeck (born 1965) is primarily known as a graphic designer in the cultural sector far beyond Germany's borders. For example, he created the key visuals for Liam Gillick and Isa Genzken for their Exhibitions German Pavilion at the Venice Biennale using his own photographic works, developed logos such as those for the MMK, and designed posters for William Forsythe, among others. As a professor at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, he founded the experimental laboratory Space for Visual Research for graphic design and abstract, non-functional imagery. Markus Weisbeck's independent works were purchased by the MMK Frankfurt, among others, and exhibited in 2016.
