Sebastian Hosu

Galerie Rundgænger by Schierke Seinecke is looking forward to the second exhibition of the painter Sebastian Hosu in Frankfurt. Powerful colors, mysterious, seductive. Hosu (*1988, Satu Mare, Romania) applies the oil paints to the canvas powerfully, sometimes with a broad brush. The artist, who trained at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig, prefers to sketch scenes on a large format that are more dabbed than meticulously painted. With their warm colors, the pictures allow us to participate in a fleeting moment. Hosu's works have already attracted a great deal of attention at home and abroad, including solo exhibitions at the Museum der bildenden Künste in Leipzig in 2018, the Kunstverein Freunde aktueller Kunst in Zwickau in 2019 and group presentations at the G2 Kunsthalle in Leipzig (2023) as well as the Kunsthalle Kiel and the No Hero Museum in Delden (NL).
