New galleries in Frankfurt

New location in Frankfurt: The Schugar Rotariu Gallery on Weckmarkt focuses on Eastern European art.

Frankfurt's gallery scene is growing. At the Saisonstart , there are three new start-ups - a signal that the city is worthwhile for young players and that new voices are welcome.

In the Bahnhofsviertel , the Bode Gallery opens its doors at two addresses: Kaiserstraße and Gutleutstraße. On show will be the South Korean painter Woo Jong Taekwhose works condense color and form into intense pictorial spaces.

Internationally networked, the Gallery Schugar Rotariu. It is present in Frankfurt as well as in Cluj (Romania) and focuses on contemporary Eastern European positions. For the first Saisonstart , the gallery owners are showing George Bularca Negru - Born in Romania in 1995, he grew up in Spain, trained at Central Saint Martins and is currently a student at the Städelschule. Performance, sculpture and works on paper unfold a hybrid terrain between past and present.

In Sachsenhausen, on Brückenstraße, the Gallery 3AP has opened its second location alongside Düsseldorf. The prelude is Nadine Karlwho studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy under Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster and Gregor Schneider. Her works are characterized by a multidimensional approach - she appeals to the senses across different media and thus creates spaces of experience beyond classical genres.
