Sinta Werner
Sinta Werner's art plays with the relationship between two- and three-dimensionality, reality and image, physical presence and projection, and the intertwining of virtual and real space. In her photo collages, installations, and sculptures, she uses the doubling of physical reality through illusory spaces or mirrors to create irritation and deception of the eye. In her work, she deals with the geometric rationalism of functionalist modernist architecture.
Sinta Werner completed her studies at the Berlin University of the Arts under Professor Henning Kürschner and also attended Goldsmiths College in London. She was awarded the Kunst am Bau Prize by CMYK, Munich. Her works have been exhibited in galleries and institutions in Germany and abroad, including the Klocker Museum, Innsbruck, Austria (2023), the Match Gallery in Ljubljana (2019), Schloss Biesdorf in Berlin (2020), the MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow (2019), Marta Herford and the Berlinische Galerie (2018), the Meetfactory in Prague, and the Nassauischer Kunstverein (2014).
