Prosper Legault, Thomas Wachholz
Prosper Legault (b. 1994) creates sculptures from a restless energy that form a palimpsest of contemporary consumer culture from the streets of Paris. His artistic practice is rooted in the reuse of objects—neon signs, advertisements, and waste—to reveal hidden stories in the familiar. Like a writer forming a sentence, he mixes the visual vocabulary of urban space to explore cycles of decay, repair, and renewal.
Thomas Wachholz (b. 1984) explores the match and its box as a medium and motif. By translating fleeting moments—such as the "kiss" of two burning matches—into bronze, he creates a dialogue between industrial materiality and poetic lightness. His sculptures, which resemble jazz riffs, reshape human relationships through rhythmic repetition and oversized forms, changing into new constellations as the viewer moves.
