Fragments of Now
28.06.2025 - 17.08.2025
Maria Leisner, Mollie Campbell, Raphael Paulun, Lukas Zimmermann
E30 Gallery
The group exhibition "Fragments of Now" brings together four artistic positions that deal with people and their environment in very individual ways. In figurative scenes, humorous self-images, snapshots of everyday life or model-like constructions, a fragmentary portrait of our present emerges - sometimes observational, sometimes playful, sometimes emotional.
On display are works by Raphael Paulun, who mostly depicts himself with irony, as well as works by Maria Leisner, whose "Pure" series shows people in motion - falling, jumping, floating. Mollie Campbell portrays people in moments of quiet intimacy, while Lukas Zimmermann 's works oscillate between the idyll of the suburbs and collaged and model-like studio fantasies.
"Fragments of Now" shows excerpts from our present - observations of the everyday, captured in very different artistic styles. The exhibition zooms in on the supposedly banal: on everyday situations, fleeting gestures, spaces and bodies that surround us. With a mixture of tongue-in-cheek and profound intensity, the works allow us to explore the familiar with a fresh eye.
