Call for Submissions: You bring it, we hang it
Our exhibition concept, “You bring it, we hang it,” invites artists of all experience levels to submit their work for an immediate exhibition at the HÉROINE Gallery on September 4, 2026. This format symbolizes our commitment to inclusivity and community and provides low-barrier access to an art world that is often perceived as exclusive.
The focus is on this year's theme, "Broken Heart Syndrome," which serves as the central thread running through the entire curation.
The program is open to students and graduates of various art colleges in Frankfurt and the surrounding area, as well as artists without a formal art education.
We are seeking works in the fields of sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, and—for the first time—performance art.
On the day before the opening, September 3, 2026, all submissions can be dropped off in person at Kantstraße 16 in Frankfurt am Main starting at 3:00 p.m. Performance concepts can also be sent to our email address , heroine.frankfurt@gmail.com, before September 3. We will review all submissions together and select the participants immediately afterward. The selected works will be unveiled on September 4, 2026, and presented in the gallery space throughout the following weekend.
The entire period runs from Thursday, September 3, until the regular pickup of all work on Sunday evening, September 6, 2026.
