Will There Ever Be Days ...?

04.09.2025 - 27.09.2026
Group exhibition
Heussenstamm. Space for art and the city

For 45 years, Frankfurt and Tel Aviv-Yafo have been linked by a lively city partnership, in particular through intensive cultural exchange. This close connection forms the framework for a special exhibition that opens up a space for hope and artistic dialog in turbulent times. Israel has been in a bloody war since October 7, 2023. Society is characterized by uncertainty, fear, grief and loss. In this difficult reality, artists are responding in their own way - with art.

The exhibition "Will There Ever Be Days...?" brings together works by Israeli and German artists who together create a visual field of reflection on the "before" and "after". The works on display tell of the beauty of life and of renewal as well as of pain and loss. What unites all participants is the need to create connections - between people, cultures and experiences. Here, art becomes a medium that can provide comfort, preserve memories and even enable moments of forgetting.

The title of the exhibition is taken from the poem "Will There Ever Be Days...?" by Leah Goldberg, written in 1943 in another time of global horror. It addresses the longing for peace, for simple moments of beauty and hope - despite everything. This poetic perspective also characterizes the intention of the exhibition: To create space for connection, creativity and a view of a possible better future in the midst of pain and turmoil.
