"Denk-mal, Relics in crisis"

Larry Bonćhaka (b. 1994) is a Ghanaian multimedia artist whose practice revolves around a critical interest in identity politics, material culture, community-based projects and coexistence. His strikingly simple yet thoughtful still lifes reflect everyday systems of production and meaning making. Larry is currently completing his Master of Arts at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste - Städelschule, Frankfurt am Main. He is a co-founder of the artist collective ASAFO BLACK and the artist and architect collective COMMUNNE 6x3.

His solo exhibition "Denk-mal, Relics in Crisi" is currently on display at the Sakhile&Me Gallery to discover (24.08.-07.10.2023). The gallery owner Sakhile Matlhare and the artist draw out the highlights of the exhibition in an exciting conversation.
