Young, experimental painting
Modern fresco painting: "War on Currency" by Tyrolean artist Christopher Friess at Nouveaux DeuxDeux
Young painters in particular stand out with their experimental techniques, materials and contemporary motifs. Tiles, mirrors, photographic wallpaper or neon tubes are used, for example, by the artist Lukas Glinkowski, a master student of Katharina Grosse, whom the Bonn-based Gallery Judith Andreae at the invitation of Schierke Seinecke. The artist transforms snapshots from urban space and pop culture inspirations into a painterly fantasy world that reveals the everyday in a new way. Tyrolean artist Christopher Friess uses the historical painting technique of fresco painting and is represented by the young Munich gallery Nouveaux DeuxDeux gallery. Arne Linde from the ASPN Gallery from the Leipziger Baumwollspinnerei is showing, at the invitation of Anita Beckers, the French video artist and painter Anaïs Goupy . Born in the Département Cher, the artist studied at the HGB Leipzig; she lives and works there and in Berlin. She creates a fascinating symbiosis of analog art and digital technology. Born in 2000, Carlo Krone is already one of the most sought-after newcomers. At the age of just 23, he was awarded the art KARLSRUHE prize last year. The Stuttgart Thomas Fuchs Gallery presents Krone's paintings, which tell of everyday situations and objects. In contrast, the paintings by the Cameroonian artist Jerry Helle, who lives in Cologne, deal with the major themes of freedom, home and belonging. "I will paint the world leaving it more beautiful than I found it," he says on his Instagram profile. He is represented by the Frankfurt gallery Sakhile&Me gallery in Frankfurt.
