Galerie 3AP POV Contemporary invite you to the group exhibition In Between featuring works by Emmélie Lempert, Toni Meyer, Alex Müller, and Jonas Brinker. The exhibition will take place at Galerie 3AP Frankfurt am Main, opening on February 14, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. and running until March 29, 2026. In Between marks the first collaboration between the two galleries.

The exhibition explores the "in-between"—moments when perception hovers between presence and absence. The works become still images of fleeting encounters, in which meaning arises both in the materials and in the spaces between the works.

Emmélie Lemperts mixed media works show translucent garments clamped between glass panes. Seams, openings, and signs of wear lend them both fragility and presence. The body remains absent, but becomes perceptible through contours and empty spaces—a play between protection, exposure, and intimacy.

Toni Meyer's Sofa Series explores the tension between public and private space. The bright prints open up new levels and interstitial spaces, and the folds of the velvet upholstery create a relief-like topography in which shadows become reflections.

Alex Müller's Die Erinnerung vom Hutmacher (The Hatmaker's Memory) uses glass as a display case that interrupts the linear flow of everyday perception. An exhibited suitcase marks a historically charged absence and becomes an anchor for open, narrative structures.

Jonas Brinker's archival prints draw attention to the peculiar strangeness of everyday life. In Frost, a close-up of an icy freezer compartment, the in-between becomes tangible as a moment of pause. Movement, scale, and materiality oscillate between detailed close-ups and landscape-like impressions, so that the interior only reveals itself upon closer inspection.

In In Between, familiar realities appear hyperreal and emotionally charged. The body reveals itself as a trace (Lempert), as a memory (Meyer), as an object detached from its function (Müller), or as a processual phenomenon (Brinker). Each work opens up hidden thresholds and vistas inscribed in everyday gestures, making the experience of being in between sensually tangible.
