For the 2026 “ Saisonstart ,” Kai Middendorff is showcasing selected works by four artists whom he has represented or helped establish over the years. Coinciding with the “ Saisonstart ,” they are exhibiting at institutions—some of which are highly significant on the international stage: Christine Gironcoli, for example, at the Mumok in Vienna and the Kunsthalle Lingen. Bernhard Schreiner has just installed his permanent sound piece*Instant Sonification*in the outdoor area of the SCHIRN (between the halls). Ekrem Yalcindag is being honored with a major retrospective at CER Modern in Ankara. And this year, Franziska Kneidl is receiving one of Hesse’s most prestigious art prizes, the Horst Haas and Irene Haas Scheuermann Art Prize. The award also includes a major exhibition in November. Ahead of that, however, the Frankfurt-based artist will be displaying life-size figurines starting September 2 inthe showcase window of Lab106, located right next to van Laack on Frankfurt’s Roßmarkt.
