Zosya Rozenfeld

Painting
Gallery Hübner + Hübner
With Zosya Rozenfeld, die Galerie + Hübner presents paintings that focus on the ambivalence of human beings. Her figures encounter each other in close proximity—while at the same time maintaining their independence.
The faces appear alert, questioning, sometimes distant. Bodies lean toward each other without fully revealing themselves. Between them, a space of tension arises, filled with familiarity and reserve.
Rozenfeld combines representational elements with poetic, sometimes symbolic ones. Animals, fruits, or open, ambiguous backgrounds add an inner dimension to the scene. Her images are not unambiguous—they keep moments in limbo.
Rozenfeld's painting shows closeness not as a certainty, but as a fragile balance. It is precisely in this openness that its power lies.
