“Jamel Shabazz. New York Vibes” Since the early 1980s, American photographer Jamel Shabazz (b. 1960) has been capturing everyday scenes in the predominantly African American neighborhoods of his hometown, New York.

The exhibition at the Leica Gallery Frankfurt is a joint project with Stefan Dabruck Management, the City of Frankfurt, and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), and shines a light on a city whose significance for pop and music culture is often underestimated.
