Body, space and nature

In her works created especially for this exhibition, the renowned artist Franziska Kneidl explores her father's stage designs with Peter Zadek and Pina Bausch (Kai Middendorff Galerie).

Not only painting and photography characterize the Saisonstart. Sculpture, installation and conceptual positions also show how diverse the artistic field in Frankfurt is.

At the Westend Galerie, the Italian-Slovakian artist Sandi Renko explores the interplay between two- and three-dimensionality. His works move between OpArt, kinetic art and geometric abstraction - pictorial surfaces that set the eye in motion.

In the netter gallery , on the other hand, the positions in the demo-crazy exhibition refer to places of democracy. Here, art becomes a commentary on social spaces in which political participation is negotiated.

Kai Middendorf's approach is very personal: Frankfurt-based Franziska Kneidl is creating a "space for Karl Kneidl", her father, one of the most important stage designers in the German-speaking world. He himself will be present at the opening - a cross-generational dialog between stage and visual arts.

Galerie von Miller is dedicating its Corpus exhibition to the representation of the body in African art, while British sculptor John Davies is translating the relationship between man and living space into poetic sculptures at ARTE GIANI.

References to nature also characterize the works of Silke Bonde at Schlieder Contemporary. In delicate works on paper, the Danish artist examines the fragile relationship between man and the environment. The works of Hitomi Uchikura, which can be seen for the first time at Japan Art - Galerie Friedrich Müller, are also delicate and filigree.
