Group Exhibitions, Emerging Artists & the Independent Art Scene

"East German Art Landscapes": German photographer Evelyn Richter in the group exhibition in DIE GALERIE.

Multiperspective

Group exhibitions are particularly well-suited to examining an issue from multiple perspectives. Thus, the Galerie Greulich has brought together four female artists to reflect on the stereotypes and prejudices surrounding Gen Z. Additionally, “ die Galerie ” is on display at the newly opened 5-starKimpton Hotel in the Four high- rise complex.

The coming-of-age exhibition *In divenire | Im Werden* at the Westend Gallery in Frankfurt, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and is hosting an exhibition by four young talents from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. Also at the Westend in the Hübner & Hübner Gallery—though thematically quite different—the group show *malum veritas* presents perspectives on Frankfurt’s apple wine culture. And in parallel with the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt this coming weekend, you can view the *East German Art Landscapes* DIE GALERIE .

Offspaces

HEROINE offers an exciting counterpoint to the usual exhibition concept HEROINE, a new gallery space in Nordend, with the call to action “You bring it, we hang it.” Until September 3, artists—whether formally trained or not—can submit works. The curated selection will then be presented the following day. Thủy Tiên Nguyễn and Zhang Wanwen have been given carte blanche by Jochem Hendricks, the founder of H8H.space, a backyard house in the no-man’s-land between Europastraße and Bahnhofsviertel. The Städel artist duo thus has complete freedom to decide how to engage with the space through installation and performance. We can’t wait to see the result!
